The Orange County Fair and the My Fair Selfie Station

Yes I have been to the Pomona Fair before but this was my first time hitting the Orange County Fair and when I tell you the My Fair Selfie Station was the HIGHLIGHT OF MY DAY, it was so much fun! So like always I try to make it a group thing but sometimes you just have to get up and GO! So I ended up going to the Fair all by my lonesome. Something I sometimes tend to do just for my own personal experience and to be on my own time.

It was a super hot scorching day and I went the Thursday of the last weekend. It was overalls day with free admission so I stopped by Forever Whatever (what I call Forever 21) and I grabbed me a pair of overalls and dipped out! I didn’t want to deal with the madness in the heat so I made sure I grabbed me an unlimited rider wristband and a line hopper wristband because I am a NO WAIT IN LINE type of chick! I wanted to get in and out gather my footage, take my camera back to the car so I could indulge in some fun afterwards and get on the rides without having to babysit my camera.

I ate so much food because they were doing $3 samples and tastings up until 4:00 that day so I made sure I gave myself time to partake. They had henna artist, oversized corn dogs, hot dogs, drumsticks and more! They had hand wax sculptures, a petting zoo, carnival games, different halls which were kind of like souvenir shops and flea markets where you could purchase certain items and keepsakes and it was just so much to suck in and experience.  They even had this really cool butterfly cave where you could interact with real butterflies! People were taking all sorts of photos with them in their hair and everything and it looked so cool but I have a phobia about insects or things that fly if it isn’t an airplane I am inside of so unfortunately I didn’t get to experience that but maybe next time I won’t be so scary! =\

I would definitely go back again! Just make sure you stay hydrated and wear a hat because it is definitely during the time we are at about 100 degree weather! I ended up getting on a few of the rides but I think I am getting old because I started feeling like crap from the motion. I remember being able to ride any ride or roller coaster. I think I need a do-over to make sure I am not getting old. LOL!

Of course there were also all sorts of games and oversized prices to win. You seen kids, couples, seniors and it was one hot fun filled day. By the time I got back to Los Angeles, I was super drained from the heat!  I think my main reason for going was for the My Fair Selfie Station!
