MAD Diva Does Happy Place

Well where do I start with this one? I heard about Happy Place from a long time friend Shani. So while I was riding my cool museums wave, I said why not grab a ticket for Happy Place Museum. I figured what else could be better than “The Happiest Place On Earth”! So I booked my photographer and videographer, Toney Franco for Tuesday May 1, 2018 and off to LA Live we went. The weather was kind of gloomy and I almost thought it was going to rain on us. I knew I was planning to shoot, but I didn’t even bother getting an outfit or anything.

The morning of our shoot, I had got the worse phone call of my LIFE!!! One that has changed my life for forever! I got a call from my boyfriend’s sister saying that my boyfriend had passed away! He passed away due to natural causes and I said to myself, seriously, on the day I was supposed to go to “Happy Place”?! Two days before I was supposed to flight out and see him since 3 months? My heart was crushed and it was the hardest thing EVER for me to flake and cancel my shoot! It was so hard to hold in my emotions from finding out that the love of my life went to his “happy place” and through it all I had to still hold my head high and carry on with my shoot and tour to Happy Place down at L.A. Live in Downtown Los Angeles. It was very hard for me to still make the best of it and I can’t even explain how I was able to still carry through besides saying God’s strength it was brought me through this one.

To get back on to the subject, it was a fun experience despite the situation. Definitely so many rooms to take some of the dopest photos and capture some of the most coolest moments. Definitely kid friendly and if I could have done a wardrobe switch, I definitely would have.

The rainbow grilled cheese was soooooo amazing and I am still fascinated with how they colored it and made it all rainbow colored. I am not sure what kind of cheese it was they used or how they colored it but when I tell you it was worth every bit of my $12.00, it was delicious! The lemonade was okay too but I have definitely had better lemonade and I happen to be a lemonade lover!

The next stop for Happy Place is in Chicago, Illinois. Check out their website to see when they return to Los Angeles and\or if they are coming to a city near you by visiting: https://www.happyplace.me/

You can check out my video recap from Happy Place Museum below:

Is it somewhere that you would visit? Since it is mainly yellow, what colors would you coordinate with for your photos? I was so stuck trying to decide what to throw on since I was thrown off by obvious reasons. I felt like I could have taken a little more time into my outfit but I just wasn’t even feeling it because I was so sad and really didn’t even want to go after all.

I want to give a special shout out to Toney Franco for rocking out with me on this shoot and doing the dope video editing for me. I hope you all enjoyed watching!
