Sip On This Saturday – Red Henny Sangria

It was suggested by one of my followers to feature cocktails on my blog. I personally don’t like to give out my recipes. However I do like trying new cocktails. Most of you know I am a sangria lover. So of course my first featured cocktail will be a sangria. I like sangrias because I am not a heavy alcohol drinker and I like to sip on something that is nice, light and refreshing. The fruit is always fun to eat! Sangria is simply wine with fruit and its normally kicked up with just a little bit of hard liquor but not too much to where you can’t enjoy it.

  • 12.5oz Hennessy V.S (375 ml bottle)
  • 9oz red wine (Cabernet Sauvignon or a similar dark red)
  • 4oz Fresh mango juice
  • 4oz cranberry juice
  • 2oz peach schnapps
  • Garnish: Orange wheels, raspberries, blackberries and peach slices

DIRECTIONS

Mix everything except Hennessy together ahead of time, the longer the time it has to macerate the flavors from the garnishes. When ready fill with ice, bring to the table and pour in the 375ml of Hennessy VS in front of the guest.

What are some of your favorite cocktails? Have you ever had Sangria with Hennessy? Have you ever had my sangria? What are some of your favorite cocktails?

This blog goes out to @VanessaDijon_ for suggesting that I blog about cocktails! = )
